Shipyards and new boats

One of the main attractions of the Shipyards & Equipment area is its outstanding exhibition of new boats, both sail and motor, from national and international shipyards and official distributors. Many of these firms take advantage of the event to make world premieres of their new models.

The exhibition is distinguished by its diversity, ranging from dayboats to superyachts, as well as sailboats, catamarans, and recreational craft of all kinds.

The Fishermen’s Dock, one of the most emblematic spaces in the Port of Palma, hosts the main national and international shipyards that rely on the PIBS to showcase their latest developments in superyachts up to 35 meters in length.

Equipment and services

The Shipyards & Equipment area is also a showcase for the most innovative nautical technology and equipment. Numerous companies in the sector choose the PIBS as a platform to launch their latest developments and technical solutions.

Furthermore, this area incorporates the water sports sector, allowing visitors to discover, test, and experience firsthand the latest nautical gadgets and toys, both on land and at sea.

Other sectors represented in this area of the Palma International Boat Show include marinas and harbors, specialized services, nautical tourism offerings, and official organizations dedicated to nautical training.

The other areas of PIBS

In addition to the Shipyards & Equipment area, the Palma International Boat Show also includes two other areas.

The Superyacht Village showcases a curated selection of yachts over 24 meters, available for sale and/or charter through the world’s leading charter agencies. It also houses Superyacht Square, a center for innovation, startups, and services;
and the Refit & Repair Zone.

Superyacht New Build Hub brings together leading shipyards, naval architects, and design studios to showcase new-build superyachts between 35 and 80 meters.
