The Balearic Government supports the Balearic nautical sector participating in the congress organised by the National Association of Nautical Companies
The Balearic Islands Government has shown its support for the nautical sector of the islands during the Nautical Congress organised by the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), held on 12 and 13 March in Huelva. This initiative, which brings together more than 400 people, has become one of the most important events for companies, as it analyses the challenges and opportunities facing this industry in the coming years.
The Minister for Business, Self-Employment and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, and the Director General of Industry and Industrial Estates, Alfons Gómez, attended the congress to participate in various meetings to strengthen dialogue with the main players in the industry, learn first-hand about the challenges facing the sector and explore opportunities for collaboration that will help to strengthen the competitiveness of the Balearic nautical industry.
It should also be noted that one of the sponsors of the Nautical Congress is the Palma International Boat Show, a trade fair organised by the Regional Ministry of Business, Self-Employment and Energy, through ADRBalears, and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association.
This year’s edition addressed topics such as environmental sustainability, energy transition, digitalisation, innovation in nautical services and the evolution of maritime tourism, which are usually central to the Congress’s agenda. These debates allow changes in the market to be anticipated and help companies adapt their strategies to an increasingly competitive and changing environment.
With this participation, the Government reaffirms its commitment to the economic and social development of the Balearic Islands, supporting both small and medium-sized enterprises and the self-employed, as well as large industrial and technological players linked to the nautical sector.
